Toning Blonde Hair Video
I used to have dark, almost black, hair (mostly virgin). In one night, I went from this to a light blonde color.
I did not like the yellow the lightener left me, so I decided to buy an affordable toner that everyone (for the most part) would be able to pick up and use if they want to achieve the same results. I may lighten the top and sides a bit more in a few weeks to get it all the same color (except the fringe, of course) and tone it again and show you how it goes.
Toner: Clairol Professional Creme Toner in 323D (Extra Light Platinum)
Developer: Clairol Pure White 20 Volume Creme Developer
The steps are explained on the back of the Clairol bottle, and I also explained in the video, just in case. MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR IS WET. The color I used for the red/violet isn't exactly relevant. You can use whatever you'd like.
@Laupariss I’m not quite sure this toner would work for you.
You can do a strand test and see if it works, but I don’t know if I’d risk at first.

great thanks. So can I also use it to remove unwanted redness in black hair after your dye has been washed out? I have a nasty copper colour right now. I wanted Tyra Bank’s hair colour but it turned out orange (in my opinion). I want to dye it again but I first want to get rid of the reddish tone. So I thought maybe I can use a toner to do that?

@Laupariss strips. the little amount of “roots” i had turned orange (because my hair is so dark), so it definitely lifts the brassy tone out :]

will the clairol 323 strip the brassy colour out of your hair or will it just cover it?

anything with “body” really, and be sure to add volume to your hair when you’re blowdrying :] i would say anything from the paul mitchell “extra body” line is amazing.

thats my favorite toner!!! when i was blonde i toned it every 2 weeks and before i knew it i was white. mwahahaha but now im a redhead
